Poker Aces references two aces dealt pre-flop. It is the strongest possible before theflop hand inhold’em Poker. But despite this many bettors find themselves on the losing end when dealt these cards.
When you’re given a pair of Aces, you just do not drop out pre-flop. You’re positioned with the greatest achievable hand at this stage of the game. So how do you bet with Poker Aces ? Do you simply go all-in? I’d say definitely no to that.
Always remember, you are attempting to generate as much profit from this strong position. You need to maximize the possibility. Going all-in will simply scare most gamblers into folding and not placing a wager.
If you are in the initial seat (first or second to bet), you’ll make a single bet. Anyone with a decent hand will call, hopefully a player might raise. If there has been a raise do not spring to re-raise or call, pause for a small bit – make them think you’re considering your options and then call.
Following the flop your tactic will be to get rid of anyone that could get a straight or a flush. So I would start to raise aggressively, if you’re fortunate you’ll fool one player into believing that you are faking it.
If you’re in the middle or late spot (near the last to place a bet) you will watch as everyone calls and then raise. Even with you holding a pair of aces, if possible try to avoid a show-down. Protect your hand by forcing the other players drop out after the flop. If you do not abolish your competitors you risk losing your hand.
