Double-hand Poker is a current game with old origins. Built on the ancient Chinese tile game and the modern American variation of poker, Pai Gow poker joins the eastern with the wild west in an awesome game for starting gamblers.

Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the player vs. the croupier, unlike nearly all other poker games that gamblers play against other players. By competing against the dealer, starting players do not have to be concerned about any other, more advanced gamblers taking their money.

An additional Pai Gow benefit is the relatively slow game play, newcomers can take their time and strategize without needing to make quick decisions.

It is also much simpler to participate in for an extended time with only a small bit of cash seeing as, to not win, each of your hands has to be lower than both of the dealer’s hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the regular 52-card basic deck and a single joker. The gambler is assigned 7 cards faces showing and the dealer is given 7 cards faces hidden.

One 5 card hand and one two card hand need to be made from the 7 cards dealt, the 5 card hand must be higher than the 2 card hand. To win, a player is required to have both of his hand totals to be higher than the dealer’s.
